About Us
The Cupcake Station was the first cupcake shop in Michigan and one of the very first in the country. We have been baking gourmet cupcakes, 100% from Scratch, since day one. We always use the finest and most natural ingredients we can find.
We had a hard time deciding which cupcakes to bake each day that we decided to bake 24 flavors everyday so our customers can have a variety of flavors to choose from. The Cupcake Station was also the first to create the Bump-a-licious Cupcake and it has become one of our best sellers and has even made the national news. You can't go wrong with a cupcakes dipped in Chocolate!
Since we opened our first location in 2006, our cupcakes have been enjoyed by thousands including Martha Stewart, Bobby Flay and Michigan's former Governor Jennifer Granholm. And now with the launch of our new eCommerce website, we're very excited to be shipping cupcakes, so that many more can enjoy our cupcakes all over the country!
After opening our first bakery, we realized what a great opportunity our cupcakes had to help other people raise money for their non-profit charity. And, since the beginning, we have been helping thousands of charities and giving back to the local communities and neighborhoods that we call home. You have our assurance that we will always stay committed to helping others.

Everyone Loves a Cupcake…
… and that includes Kerry Johnson. In fact, he has always been a big dessert fan. Kerry had been looking for a new venture in his life for quite a while and has always been interested in baking.
After having a cupcake for dessert one evening, he realized this would be a great new adventure in his life and decided to open a bakery that specializes in cupcakes — everyone's favorite. Â
My earliest memories of cupcakes were when I’d hang out in the kitchen with my
Mother while she whipped up some delicious Chocolate Cupcakes. I always waited
patiently to lick the beaters. I was also the one who couldn’t wait to let them
cool after they came out of the oven. I had to start frosting them while they
were still warm; they were the best that way! I have been baking since I was a
very young man and have always been interested in opening a bakery. I’m so glad
it turned out to be a Cupcake Shop. There is nothing better then seeing a smile
on someone’s face when you hand them a Cupcake.
Kerry and Tom are excited to share their gourmet cupcakes with all ages. And they hope everyone loves a cupcake as much as they do.
